Every private experience is different because every person is different. Depending on what you're looking for, a day with me might include:
Breakfast at a neighborhood kissaten that's been there since before you were born
A reservation at a restaurant with no English sign, no online presence, and a chef who's been perfecting one dish for thirty years
Private access to a sumo stable for morning practice — before the public sessions, before the tourists
A hands-on session with a master of kintsugi, traditional pottery, or tea ceremony — arranged personally, not through a tourist programme
A walk through a vintage archive store that isn't listed anywhere and doesn't need to be
An evening in the kind of bar that only exists because someone cared more about sound than profit
Pricing
Every private experience is priced transparently. All rates are in USD and exclude expenses — transport, entry fees, and dining costs incurred while accompanying you are billed separately at cost.
Private day with Sho
$700 per day for up to 5 guests. Additional guests beyond 5 are $100 per person. This is a fully custom day built entirely around your group — your pace, your interests, my connections.
Private day with assistant guide
$500 per day for up to 5 guests. Additional guests beyond 5 are $100 per person. Same level of curation and preparation — ideal for larger groups or when multiple experiences run simultaneously.
